The Oakland Volunteer Fire Department received a grant in the amount of $20,000 to change all the light fixtures inside and outside of the building to energy efficient LED lighting.  This grant will allow us to save up to 3/4 on our lighting bill throughout the year. Oakland Receives State Grant

The Oakland Vol. Fire Co. received a state grant in the amount of $27,239.  This grant will allow our fire department to upgrade equipment and make payments on our apparatus.

Home Depot Grant allows Oakland to update kitchen

Members of the OVFC and the Richland Home Depot worked together to upgrade the kitchen in the upstairs social hall.  We would like to thank the Home Depot Foundation for all its help!

Oakland Works With Home Depot on Kitchen Grant

THE OAKLAND VOL. FIRE CO. HAS RECEIVED THE HOME DEPOT FOUNDATION GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,000.  THIS GRANT WILL BE USED TO RENOVATE THE KITCHEN UPSTAIRS IN THE HALL.  UPGRADES WILL BE DONE BY FIREFIGHTERS AND CREW MEMBERS FROM OUR LOCAL HOME DEPOT STORE.

Oakland Receives DHS Safer Grant

THE OAKLAND VOL. FIRE CO. HAS RECEIVED A SAFER GRANT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $194,500.  THIS GRANT WILL BE USED FOR THE RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION OF FIREFIGHTERS.  INCENTIVE CARDS, BUNK-ROOMS, SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE AND MORE WILL BE PROVIDED THRU THIS GRANT OPPORTUNITY.  THIS WILL BE A GRANT THAT LASTS FOR 4 YEARS.
